BEF Hosts Cedar Park's "Let's Read a Good Book" Fundraiser

Cedar Park’s Library Media Specialist, Debbie Hernandez, is seeking funding to get a book into the hands of all 866 Cedar Park students this summer.

“A lot of our students have not been able to get to libraries this school year and have been reading less. If we give them a book of their own, this would encourage them to read more and get excited about new adventures and places that are in books,” Debbie shares.

“We would distribute these books at the end of the school year as a summer reading project. This will encourage more reading during summer and by rewarding with more books purchased with the credit we will receive from Scholastic.”

The BEF New Project Match will match your contribution to this project dollar-for-dollar, up to 50% towards the campaign goal of $1700. Click HERE to support Cedar Park students’ summer reading and have your donation doubled.

  • Can be shared between one to two parents

  • Promotes & encourages volunteer activities, including managing the district volunteer software (training provided)
